...WAIVER OF INTEREST ON ALL PLOTS WITHIN LAMU COUNTY Pursuant to the Public Finance Management Act 2012, and the Lamu County Valuation and Rating Act, 2015, H.E Governor, Fahim Yassin Twaha andthe County Government of Lamu would like to draw the attention of all plot owners within the jurisdiction that there will be a waiver of interest on the outstanding land rates (interest accrues from 1st April every year at 2 percent per month compounded) to those who will pay principal amounts in full in the next thirty (30) days w.e.f Monday 27th May, 2019 to Wednesday 26th June, 2019 both days inclusive
